Apollo Bay

Apollo Bay was previously a sleepy fishing village.  Today it has been woken up by the rush of tourists which visit the town each year.  Various shops line the streets targeting tourists from souvenirs to restaurants.  There is only one petrol station in town, so it is worth filling up here because fuel is limited in the area.  Places of interest include the Co-op a fresh fish outlet, the visitor centre and of course the beautiful beaches.

Over the summer months, the influx of tourists transcending on this small town, make it more like a city suburb than a country village.  To escape the hustle and bustle, Fauna Australia Wildlife Retreat is only 45 minutes away and makes a great base to head to Apollo Bay for a visit.
