Australia Wildlife Retreat is located in the Heart of the major
attractions along the Great Ocean Road. The world famous Twelve
Apostles are only a stones throw away. Other attractions include
the Cape Otway Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse on mainland Australia
built in 1848 and the Otway Fly Treetop
Walk.
Waterfalls and Rainforest Walks scatter the region with Maits Rest and Triplet Falls being high up the itinerary. Visit Melba Gully during the day to see the Big Tree (300+ years old), or return at night to see the Glowworms The Great Ocean Walk is increasing in popularity if you are keen for some physical activity, those that aren't, maybe a horse ride. Other activities include helicopter or plane tours, fishing or a stroll on the beach. The towns of the area also have several places of interest.
