Staying at Fauna Australia, you have the added bonus of staying in our self-contained accommodation located within our private wildlife park grounds (not open to the general public). We are an attraction in our own right: no need for the kids to get bored in a motel. They can meander around and make some new friends.

Ideal for international visitors and families eager to meet Australian animal's: up-close and personal, without the crowds!

At night: Watch Fauna Australia come alive with Australia's nocturnal wildlife (don't worry they are all friendly and eager for some hand-feeding). You are able to view Aussie wildlife at their most active: night! We provide the torches.

Meet some often heard of, but rarely seen natives such as: tiger quolls, potoroos, bandicoots, bettongs, sugar and squirrel gliders & much more. We successfully breed some of Australia's rarest species in our all important endangered breeding programs.

Up-close koala experience available  free of charge to guests!

Proceeds from your stay go directly to the husbandry, maintenance, feeding and running costs associated with maintaining the animals.

The current drought has nearly doubled our feeding costs.

We receive no external funding.

We operate Fauna Australia entirely from proceeds from guests.  Where you tariff goes: 10 % GST, commissions (10% or $11 per night), linen hire.  What remains goes directly towards funding our endangered wildlife breeding programs: feed, housing, purchasing new species/ individuals.

Totally enclosed by our predator proof  fence, the cottage (Wombat) is located in the heart of the facility and surrounded  by Red-bellied Pademelons (a small wallaby now extinct on the mainland) and overlooking our captive bred Southern Hairy-nosed Wombats enclosure.  You are located right amongst the action.

The unit (Kangaroo) is open plan and is ideal for families, especially those with visiting exchange students.
