Help us help our wildlife.

Education is the greatest weapon against extinction.  Our aim is to educate our guests about the plights of a large variety of Australian Animals.

Many of the species housed at Fauna Australia Wildlife Retreat are rarely seen in the wild.  When spending the night, you not only get to see them, but you can feed them.

     After predation buy introduced species, the loss of habitat though urban development is the main cause of decline in species.  The increased traffic in these areas, even if the habitat is protected causes a increase in animals being injured and killed by cars.  This has the same effect as high predation, reducing numbers, lowing genetic diversity and reducing the spread of offspring so placing more competition pressures on remaining individuals.

Pets like dogs and cats also enter the environment, placing more pressure on the remaining animals.

We want to make sure that we all have the chance to appreciate the unique wildlife we have here in Australia.

The current drought has nearly doubled our feeding costs.  Any donations are greatly appreciated.
