In the Nursery |
Due to the excessive heat during February we have a few little friends in the Nursery. As these animals are not for release into the wild, we provide them with as much interaction as possible. This interaction makes them great ambassadors for their wild counterparts. They become very tame and this enables our guests to see and feel these creatures, with no stress being placed on them. |

Jaryd and Mummy (Major Mitchell Cockatoo). Now outside in the aviary. Mummy is a male but because it was the largest bird we reared, the kids thought it was the mummy. It is amazing how they transform. He was raised from hatching and started on feeds every 2hrs. |
